Mindful Development
A perfect combination of physical beauty and mindful development, Rockwater touches the soul of all who visit.
A former fishing lodge, the resort was re-launched as Rockwater Secret Cove Resort in 2005. Rockwater offers a natural setting that is serene, simple, personal and comfortable. It is a place for guests to reconnect with themselves, their partners, and nature.

Prime Location
The Sunshine Coast has become a prime location for recreational property. Mild winters, moderate summers and year-round recreational pursuits make it a sought-after resort and recreational destination. Second only to Victoria airport , the Sunshine Coast has the most hours of sunshine of any coastal location in southern B.C.
One of the most important criteria for any resort is ease of access. Because of its popularity, the Sunshine is well serviced by scheduled ferries and daily seaplanes. Rockwater is 30 minutes from Vancouver’s International Airport by scheduled daily seaplanes and only 2 hours by ferry and car from Vancouver.
Due to its shape, the 8 acre site enjoys a disproportionately large shoreline, over 1,500 feet of beautiful rocky coast. It is a totally secluded and serene setting with no visible neighbours and no highway noise. Its own private cove is enclosed by two peninsulas. The east peninsula, where the tenthouses are located, is a pristine home to 1,200 year old trees and beds of rare reindeer lichen.

Acclaimed by Travellers
Rockwater includes 38 guest units – 13 tenthouses, 11 cabins, and 14 rooms in the main lodge. It offers full service fine dining, a spa, swimming pool, beach area kayak center and private dock. It has over a kilometer of boardwalk taking guests to ocean side tenthouses set carefully in pristine wilderness.
Each Tenthouse is equipped with aromatherapy Jacuzzi tubs, fire places, radiant heated tile floors, and rain forest showers. The cabins are original to the resort but have been remodeled to provide quaint and cozy accommodation.

Since completion of the Tenthouses in 2007, Rockwater has been the subject of innumerable articles by travel writers. It has been featured prominently in the NY Times, the National Geographic Travel Magazine, the Globe and Mail, been on the cover of Sunset Magazine, and a host of other publications.
Since June 2011, Rockwater has risen from 3.5 star, to 4.5 Star on Trip Advisor. In May 2012, Rockwater was awarded the Trip Advisor “Certificate of Excellence”. The comments in the guest books are uniformly enthusiastic, and often poetic, testimony to how clients loved their Rockwater experience. Many proclaim it is their best hotel experience ever.
In addition to its indoor massage and treatment rooms, Rockwater offers guests a unique opportunity to delight all of the senses by enjoying a massage in one of the open, but private, water side cabanas. Waves lapping against rocks make the Spa Without Walls a favourite of clients.
Rockwater Secret Cove Resort is a lovely, arbutus laden waterfront property that is an ideal destination for weddings. The resort can accommodate up to 109 overnight guests and 140 people for dinner. The well-earned reputation for hospitality and outstanding west coast cuisine has made the resort one of the prime wedding sites in southern B.C., accommodating nearly 50 weddings and elopement packages per year.
